Program & Events Manager (Aerospace & Defense)

What you will do

• Plan and independently manage small to medium-scale events from concept through completion.
• Develop event proposals, timelines, production schedules, and programming plans.
• Estimate costs, track expenses, create purchase orders, and manage approved budgets.
• Coordinate startups, exhibitors, speakers, mentors, corporate partners, and event materials.
• Manage communications with government officials, defense corporations, and foreign embassies.
• Grow a local community of startups, investors, and innovation leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience working for or with the U.S. government and strong knowledge of Washington, D.C.
• Passion for aerospace and defense, startups, entrepreneurship, and emerging technologies.
• Experience working with foreign governments or embassies and consulates.
• Strong organizational, process, analytical, communication, and public-speaking skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
