Director, Program Management (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: Plano and Richardson, Texas, United States; onsite role with approximately 10% travel

What you will do

• Lead the strategic direction and overall P&L performance of the Targeting & Sensing Systems business.
• Manage portfolio cost, schedule, technical performance, financial forecasts, operating budgets, and contract terms.
• Lead matrixed, cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, administration, facilities, and other business organizations.
• Manage Program Managers through technical and programmatic leadership, coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
• Develop business roadmaps, growth strategies, proposals, capture plans, and internal research and development priorities.
• Build customer relationships, identify requirements and new business opportunities, and provide executive-level briefings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 15 years of related experience, or a graduate degree and at least 13 years of related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, at least 19 years of related experience.
• Active US Secret Clearance required.
• Experience in leadership, program strategy, financial management, and cross-functional execution.
• Strong oral, written, negotiation, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Applicants must meet US security-clearance eligibility requirements; security clearances may only be granted to US citizens.

Nice to have

• Experience managing programs in a Department of Defense or aerospace environment.
• Knowledge of customer procurement processes and government funding approval.
• Program capture experience and Earned Value Management System experience.
• Experience communicating with customers and stakeholders across different business organizations and customer communities.
