Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor (Wastewater Treatment) 2nd Shift

Location: San Jose, California, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

Salary: $78,850–$131,417 per year, with possible bonus and shift premium.

What you will do

• Supervise, train, and evaluate wastewater treatment operators and oversee related maintenance activities.
• Maintain wastewater treatment records, inspections, monitoring equipment, compliance reports, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Administer environmental programs covering hazardous waste, stormwater, air emissions, TRI, Tier II, chemical management, and waste reclamation.
• Analyze safety metrics, conduct site evaluations and drills, and develop improvement projects, standard operating procedures, and emergency response plans.
• Develop and deliver monthly health and safety training, ensure PPE availability, and report accidents, near misses, and safety concerns.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, contractors, and management on process changes, fire protection, capital projects, and EHS compliance.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident due to ITAR requirements.
• At least 2 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Solid understanding of wastewater treatment principles and their applications.
• Knowledge of engineering principles applied to wastewater treatment, with strong analytical, mathematical, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook; ability to read specifications and procedures and follow safety documentation.
• First Aid response training, reliable attendance, and availability for calls from off-shift supervisors after hours.
