Environmental Senior Specialist

Location: East Peoria, Illinois, United States; onsite five days a week. Up to 10% domestic and international travel may be required. Domestic relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $112,710–$169,060 per year

What you will do

• Lead environmental compliance activities, including regulatory interpretation, audits, inspections, and adherence to EPA, IEPA, OSHA, and company standards.
• Identify and mitigate environmental risks through investigations, corrective actions, and reviews of products, equipment, and processes.
• Develop and maintain environmental programs, procedures, and management systems supporting sustainability and operational excellence.
• Partner with operations, engineering, maintenance, quality, and leadership teams to drive environmental performance and continuous improvement.
• Monitor environmental metrics, prepare regulatory reports, and develop employee and stakeholder training programs.
• Promote environmental stewardship and sustainability across the manufacturing facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of environmental experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of environmental compliance programs covering air, waste, water, and regulatory reporting.
• Experience conducting environmental audits, inspections, and regulatory assessments.
• Experience with EPA Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) requirements, environmental management systems, and sustainability practices.
