Environmental Compliance Manager (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Cottage Grove, Minnesota, United States; at least four days per week at the hirify.global Cottage Grove site. Travel may include up to 10% domestic or international travel. Relocation assistance may be authorized.

Salary: $164,612–$201,193 annually, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Provide environmental compliance and sustainability leadership for the Cottage Grove location.
• Lead compliance projects and teams, including obligation tracking, incident investigations, and action-plan closure.
• Set short- and long-term environmental priorities, strategic direction, and resource plans.
• Manage site performance targets and lead salaried and hourly employees through coaching and mentoring.
• Strengthen the site's environmental culture through standard work, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and hirify.global environmental requirements; participate in on-call coverage.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, environmental health and safety, science, or a related discipline.
• At least three years of environmental or environmental health and safety experience.
• At least three years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment, including environmental regulations, monitoring, reporting, and environmental management systems.
• At least one year of experience leading or supervising a team.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• Must work on-site at the Cottage Grove, Minnesota location at least four days per week.

Nice to have

• Five or more years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Five or more years of experience in chemical manufacturing and environmental compliance.
• Experience with federal, state, and local environmental agencies, permitting, inspections, and regulatory interactions.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, project planning, and program development skills.
• Master's degree or applicable EHS certifications such as CSP, CHMM, CIH, QEP, or PE.
