Senior Manager, North America Financial Accounting

Location: Onsite five days per week at the Cat Financial head office in Nashville, Tennessee, United States. Relocation is available. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $165,948–$265,524 per year.

What you will do

• Lead North America financial accounting activities, including general ledger governance, accounting operations, and financial reporting.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
• Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404, internal controls, and financial governance requirements.
• Partner with auditors, regulators, tax professionals, senior business leaders, and finance stakeholders.
• Lead forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis for executive decision-making and long-range planning.
• Drive accounting process optimization, modernization, risk mitigation, and talent development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional qualifications.
• Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting for complex transactions and reporting matters.
• Strong knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, internal controls, risk assessment, control testing, remediation, and financial governance.
• Experience leading complex accounting and finance functions across multiple entities, business units, or geographic markets.
• Knowledge of financial services, captive finance, banking, equipment finance, or another highly regulated industry.
• Ability to communicate complex financial matters, influence executives and stakeholders, and lead high-performing accounting teams.

Nice to have

• Experience applying artificial intelligence and automation to accounting transformation.
• Experience with Snowflake-supported analytics for reconciliations, anomaly detection, data quality, and financial close processes.
