Senior Energy Systems Integration Engineer (SCADA)

Location: Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite five days per week. Domestic relocation assistance is available. Domestic travel of up to 20–30% is expected.

Salary: $128,470–$192,710 per year.

What you will do

• Plan, engineer, design, maintain, and troubleshoot SCADA and communications systems connecting Tangent AMP software, third-party systems, and distributed energy resources.
• Design fleet-level SCADA systems integrating with ISOs and utilities including ISO-NE, PJM, and MISO for distributed energy market participation.
• Design and implement custom microgrid control sequencing for grid-tied and islanded applications.
• Develop communication block diagrams, panel layouts, AC/DC schematics, network drawings, RTU configurations, and network device configurations.
• Integrate SCADA networks and communications using DNP3, Modbus, SEL Protocol, IEC 61850, TCP/IP, and UDP, remotely and onsite.
• Plan and execute commissioning and testing, support customers and operations, coordinate third-party engineering firms, and develop technical documentation and SCADA design standards.

Requirements

• Senior-level expertise in analytical thinking, complex problem solving, and communicating technical concepts.
• Expert knowledge of embedded systems and their applications.
• Strong background in distributed energy resources and microgrids.
• Experience or familiarity with setting SCADA design standards.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Ability to work onsite in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania five days per week and travel domestically up to 20–30%.
