Maintenance Technician - Machinist (12 hour nights)

Location: Marion, North Carolina, United States; onsite, 12-hour night shifts

Salary: $52,800–$72,600 annually

What you will do

• Lead daily setup and operation of the Central Maintenance machine shop.
• Set up and operate standard, horizontal, and CNC mills; standard and CNC lathes; ID/OD and tool-cutting grinders.
• Machine and fabricate parts for maintenance, repair, rebuilding, and production equipment support.
• Read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, drawing, material, and equipment issues.
• Maintain shop equipment, perform preventive maintenance, support 6S housekeeping, train apprentices, and generate CNC programs with CAD/CAM software.

Requirements

• At least five years of machining experience or a two-year machinist degree preferred.
• Experience operating both CNC and manual machine-shop equipment.
• Experience with G-Zero, Mastercam, AutoCAD, and reading and writing G-code.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading, machinist measuring instruments, hand tools, and power tools; GD&T experience is a plus.
• Ability to design and build work-holding fixtures, work with limited supervision, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and perform physically demanding shop activities.
• Must be authorized to work for an employer in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with HAAS, MATSUURA, FEDAL, or DAEWOO equipment.
• GD&T experience.
