Lead Product Designer

hirify.global is building a specialized mental health platform that provides affirming, insurance-covered care for the LGBTQ+ community.

What you will do

• Design the core patient and provider experiences, from onboarding through ongoing therapist connection and care.
• Translate evidence-based clinical tools into intuitive, engaging, and relatable product experiences.
• Lead user research with patients, therapists, and families, turning ambiguous problems into clear product direction.
• Build prototypes that create alignment and design polished features through delivery with product and engineering.
• Develop and maintain a living design system that expresses the hirify.global brand.
• Set design direction while remaining hands-on across strategy, UX, and execution.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product design experience shipping products and features used by thousands of people.
• A strong, diverse portfolio showing decisive design work from research and prototyping through shipped products.
• Fluency with AI tools and a willingness to experiment with AI in the design process.
• A research mindset and enthusiasm for speaking with real users.
• Clear, thoughtful, and direct communication skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Experience leading a design team or mentoring designers.
• Experience designing healthcare, clinical, or operationally complex products.
• Experience building 0-to-1 products without an established playbook.
• Passion for improving access to affirming, insurance-covered mental health care for LGBTQ+ people.
