Machine Operator (Manufacturing)

Location: Pontiac, Illinois, United States; onsite

Salary: Starting at $26.66 per hour, plus a $1.00 per hour night-shift premium and up to a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

Designs and manufactures large diesel and natural gas engines, engine components, and powertrains.

What you will do

• Operate, set up, and adjust automatic lathes and numerically controlled drilling and boring machines.
• Manually operate vertical, horizontal, and multi-axis turret lathes.
• Adjust single-spindle automatic cutoff machines.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and standard work instructions, including geometric tolerances.
• Perform machining operations while applying safe working methods.

Requirements

• At least 12 months of experience in manufacturing, engine maintenance, or machining.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including blueprints and schematics.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Awareness of 5S and Total Productive Maintenance.
