Machine Operator 2 - 2nd Shift PMM (Manufacturing)

Location: Glens Falls, New York, United States; onsite production role on the 2nd shift.

Salary: $19.75–$28.75 per hour.

What you will do

• Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot complex machinery and associated equipment.
• Perform machine changeovers, minor adjustments, clean-up, maintenance, repairs, and part replacement.
• Inspect product output, prepare products for transfer or final processing, and maintain quality and safety standards.
• Respond to machinery breakdowns and material disruptions while minimizing downtime.
• Record production data and material traceability information in the MRP system and complete required paperwork.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance, engineering, and management teams to meet production requirements.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience required.
• Ability to run 3–5 machines and pass a competency test administered by maintenance and production supervisors.
• Ability to read and interpret work schedules, Kanban, bills of materials, pick lists, drawings, SOPs, operational codes, and technical documents.
• Mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, decision-making, basic math, and strong hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and communicate effectively with production supervisors and coordinators.
• Ability to frequently lift or move up to 35 lbs, occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs, and work while standing and walking in a manufacturing clean-room environment.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
