Maintenance Technician, 2nd Shift (Industrial Maintenance)

Location: 224 Industrial Rd, Fitchburg, Massachusetts 01420, USA; onsite, 2nd shift from 2:45 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Salary: $31.47–$41.41 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, motors, conveyors, and pneumatic and hydraulic components.
• Read electrical schematics and use PLCs to diagnose faults on automated production lines.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules and maintain equipment according to OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with team members and engineers to reduce downtime, eliminate waste, and optimize processes.
• Maintain a safe work area, document maintenance activities, and support site productivity and quality goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience, including electrical certification or training and PLC certification or training, or equivalent experience.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude, mathematical ability, logical problem-solving skills, and strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety, productivity, and quality standards.
• Required specialty certifications or licenses must be obtained within the specified timeframe when applicable.
• Successful completion of a post-offer background check and drug screening.

Nice to have

• AutoCAD proficiency.
• Associate degree or higher in manufacturing or electrical disciplines.
• Ability to use PLCs to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment faults to root cause.
