Engineering Manager – Data Quality

Location: Onsite five days a week at the Mossville, Illinois or Irving, Texas office. Up to 10% travel required. Domestic relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $147,760–$240,110 per year

What you will do

• Lead the data quality strategy for connected asset data across enterprise platforms and products.
• Establish data quality frameworks, rules, KPIs, validation, monitoring, and anomaly detection solutions.
• Embed data quality controls into APIs, data pipelines, CI/CD, and platform architecture.
• Apply AI/ML to data profiling, anomaly detection, and root cause analysis.
• Lead and develop data quality engineers and analysts through coaching and technical leadership.
• Collaborate with engineering, analytics, product, platform, telecom, and governance teams to support releases, resolve defects, and communicate quality risks.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software or data engineering experience, including 2–5 years in leadership roles.
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT frameworks, cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, and automated validation frameworks.
• Strong experience in data quality, data governance, data engineering ecosystems, data modeling, metadata management, and data lineage.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle, software quality assurance, testing, and data platform CI/CD or DevOps.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data engineering, or a related field.
• Must work onsite five days per week at the Mossville, Illinois or Irving, Texas office; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML-based data quality monitoring.
• Familiarity with Kafka, streaming data platforms, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience in regulated industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, or finance environments.
