Manager, Data Engineering

Location: 601 Respect Dr, Bentonville, AR 72716, United States; office-based role

Salary: $90,000–$180,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of product specifications aligned with business and customer needs.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements and develop scalable solutions.
• Manage the structure, transformation, and implementation of taxonomy and specification data across systems and markets.
• Establish governance standards for data quality, consistency, compliance, and responsible data use.
• Drive best practices for specification design, validation, testing, documentation, and release management.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve schema quality, and strengthen the catalog experience.

Requirements

• Experience with complex data structures, product information, taxonomy, specifications, or catalog-related domains.
• Proficiency in SQL and ability to analyze large or complex datasets.
• Strong understanding of data quality, schema management, and data governance principles.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear specifications, data structures, and scalable solutions.
• Experience managing cross-functional initiatives using agile ways of working.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Background in data engineering, database engineering, business intelligence, or business analytics.
• Experience with ETL tools and large datasets in the cloud.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field and three years of software engineering experience.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices.
