Senior Design Engineer (Drivetrain)

Location: Onsite five days a week in Decatur, Illinois or East Peoria, Illinois. Domestic relocation is available. Travel is less than 10%.

Salary: $112,710–$169,060 per year.

What you will do

• Design and support drivetrain systems, including transmissions, torque converters, gearboxes, and axles.
• Support new product introduction, current product improvement, suppliers, supply chain activities, and manufacturing operations.
• Communicate design changes through content definition and design reviews.
• Investigate and resolve current production, BIQ, NPI, and assurance-of-supply issues with factory personnel.
• Manage large assemblies in Creo and Teamcenter and release engine arrangements and platform-owned drawings.
• Deploy product robustness initiatives, evaluate part resourcing and cost-reduction projects, and manage design control requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or materials science from an accredited program.
• Experience with computer-aided design and engineering tools and product design through production.
• Analytical thinking, root-cause analysis, technical problem solving, and effective communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and concurrent objectives.
• Ability to work onsite five days a week in Decatur or East Peoria, Illinois.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.
