Materials Planner

What you will do

• Purchase materials and manage order fulfillment to support business demand, inventory turns, and supplier delivery performance.
• Maintain accurate order, shipping, and delivery information and manage purchase order backlog tracking, reporting, and follow-up.
• Build supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, obtain quotes, and drive supplier and internal process improvements.
• Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, transportation carriers, planners, sales, and customer operations to ensure timely delivery and resolve issues.
• Manage non-conforming inventory, product disposition, inventory aging, stock rotation, and liquidations.
• Contribute to supplier management initiatives and cross-functional project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Thorough knowledge of principles, theories, practices, techniques, and standards in the relevant discipline.
• Ability to independently evaluate situations, exercise judgment, develop solutions, and manage work with limited guidance.
• Ability to collaborate with management and teams across departments and represent the function internally or externally.
