People Operations Manager (AI)

Location: Must be based in San Francisco and work from the office five days a week

Salary: $150,000 – $200,000

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end onboarding process from offer letter to 90-day ramp.
• Manage Rippling as the system of record for payroll, benefits, and data hygiene.
• Oversee HR compliance, including state registrations, leave administration, and 401(k) reporting.
• Coordinate immigration processes, including H-1B transfers and green card timelines, with outside counsel.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits, pay, and policy.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks by beta-testing and implementing internal AI tools.

Requirements

• Experience in People Ops or HR at a high-growth startup, ideally in a role building the function from scratch.
• Proven responsibility for HRIS configuration and management.
• Strong organizational skills with a bias for automating repeatable workflows.
• Ability to handle confidential information with total discretion.
• Must be located in San Francisco and willing to work onsite five days a week.
