CNC Machinist I - 1st and 3rd Shift

Location: Dyer, Indiana, United States; onsite. Hiring is for 1st and 3rd shifts, with up to two months of training on the 1st shift. Relocation is not available, and visa sponsorship is not available. Applicants requiring employer-sponsored H, L, TN, F, J, E, or O status are not being hired.

Salary: $22.50–$29.20 per hour

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC machinery, including lathes, grinders, mills, brake presses, and forming equipment.
• Work with fixtures, tooling, controls, attachments, and machine adjustments while performing routine equipment care.
• Measure and evaluate workpieces, perform basic deburring and surface protection, and assist with fixture setup.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and maintain production, downtime, quality, and other operational records.
• Meet production and quality standards while maintaining housekeeping and following manufacturing safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of recent machine operation experience, preferably in metal cutting or fabrication.
• Ability to use measuring tools accurately, perform basic shop math, and read blueprints.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, cutting tools, operating requirements, manufacturing processes, and safety standards.
• Effective communication with team members, supervisors, and engineers.
