What you will do

  • Lead electrical engineering and design for facility power distribution, grounding, lighting, and low-voltage communication systems.
  • Guide designers, provide technical leadership, and conduct quality reviews of design packages.
  • Prepare technical specifications, bid documents, and construction documents as an Electrical discipline lead or QC reviewer.
  • Collaborate with owners and contractors and support construction activities on-site.
  • Participate in proposals and develop solutions to client engineering challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related accredited program.
  • Current Professional Engineer license with the ability to obtain licensure in the local state.
  • 12+ years of professional experience designing electrical systems for buildings.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70), voltage-drop, arc-flash, short-circuit, and load-flow calculations.
  • Experience specifying electrical equipment, reviewing vendor submittals, coordinating field work, and performing site punch walks.
  • Ability to support construction activities on-site in Boise.

Nice to have

  • Semiconductor or mission-critical/data-center design experience.
  • Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
