Sr Electrical Design Engineering Manager (Electrical Engineering)

Location: Onsite in Elma, NY, near Buffalo; remote candidates will not be considered.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of 6–10 electrical, firmware, and packaging design engineers.
• Provide technical guidance, assign programs and projects, and monitor delivery against technical, cost, and schedule requirements.
• Conduct performance reviews, training, mentoring, and career development for direct reports.
• Collaborate across engineering and operating groups and interface with customers.
• Contribute to design reviews and validate compliance with internal standards.
• Execute detailed product design and analysis, including conceptual layouts, dynamic performance modelling, thermal analysis, and structural analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Firmware, or Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant technical experience designing, managing, or testing electronic controller units and board assemblies, preferably high-voltage motor controllers.
• 3 years of experience leading technical projects or initiatives.
• Proven experience managing and leading engineering teams, with strong analytical, critical-thinking, written communication, and presentation skills.
• Working knowledge of Cadence, Teamcenter, and PSpice.
• Ability to work onsite in Elma, NY and obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance; the role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
