Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison, Cardiac Electrophysiology (MedTech)

Location: Irvine, California, United States; candidate should be based close to the Northeast Region, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, or Maine. Work authorization in the United States is required. Domestic travel of up to 60% is required.

Base pay: $137,000–$235,750 annually.

What you will do

• Develop and implement engagement plans with key opinion leaders, surgeons, operating room staff, healthcare professionals, and medical societies in cardiac ablation.
• Serve as a scientific authority in cardiac electrophysiology and provide medical and scientific education to internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Clinical Affairs, Marketing, Scientific Affairs, and Research & Development teams.
• Communicate complex scientific information about cardiac ablation and diagnostic platforms, including clinical support during voice-of-customer sessions.
• Support clinical studies, investigator-initiated and collaborative research, publication planning, and scientific conferences.
• Analyze customer, scientific, and market information for pre-launch and marketed products and train Sales, Marketing, and other internal teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; doctoral degree such as PhD, MD, or DO highly preferred.
• At least five years of experience in the biotech or medtech industry, with medical affairs, clinical sciences, or medical science liaison experience highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular medicine, preferably cardiac electrophysiology and interventional cardiology.
• Understanding of clinical research methodologies, regulatory guidelines, medical terminology, and scientific data analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with KOLs and healthcare professionals and communicate complex scientific concepts to scientific and non-scientific audiences.
• Must have US work authorization and be willing to travel domestically up to 60%.
