Medical Science Liaison, Rheumatology - North Texas/Oklahoma

Location: Field-based North Texas/Oklahoma territory; Tulsa or Oklahoma City preferred. The role requires up to 70% travel within the territory and for internal meetings and congresses. A valid US driver's license is required.

Base pay: $117,000–$201,250 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and implement a scientific engagement plan aligned with Medical Affairs strategy and medical objectives.
• Build professional relationships with community and academic healthcare opinion leaders and engage in high-quality scientific exchange.
• Deliver objective, non-promotional scientific information and translate complex clinical evidence into clear discussions and presentations for healthcare professionals.
• Collect, synthesize, and submit actionable clinical, scientific, competitive, and territory insights.
• Support company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies by connecting investigators with internal research and grant processes.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, R&D, Clinical Operations, and field partners in a compliant matrixed environment.

Requirements

• Doctorate-level degree or equivalent experience, such as PharmD, PhD, MD, or an advanced practice provider qualification.
• Postgraduate experience for doctoral-level candidates, with scientific, therapeutic, research, or healthcare-system knowledge.
• Capabilities in data gathering and analysis, clinical expertise, problem solving, interpersonal influence, strategic thinking, and competitive landscape analysis.
• Ability to support the territory with up to 70% travel.
• Valid US driver's license required.

Nice to have

• Two or more years of relevant experience, preferably in an MSL role.
• Two or more years of rheumatology or related therapeutic-area experience.
• Residency or fellowship and board certification for clinical degrees.
• Experience exploring and applying emerging technologies such as AI.
• Residence in a major metropolitan area, with Tulsa or Oklahoma City preferred.
