VP, Software Engineering (Hybrid - Flexible Options)

Salary: $275,000–$300,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Define and execute the engineering portfolio strategy in alignment with business objectives, regulatory expectations, client commitments, and enterprise modernization goals.
• Lead engineering teams and leadership development across applications and platforms covering trade lifecycle, settlement, custody, asset servicing, reconciliation, client onboarding, reporting, and related workflows.
• Direct enterprise-scale transformation, governance, delivery planning, quality management, operational readiness, and measurable engineering outcomes.
• Partner with product, operations, architecture, commercial, and enterprise technology stakeholders to establish target-state architecture and modernization roadmaps.
• Lead modernization across cloud, microservices, automation, data, integration, APIs, event-driven platforms, and responsible AI capabilities.
• Communicate platform strategy, migration paths, risks, dependencies, and business value to global clients, executives, and senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of software engineering experience and 10+ years managing engineering teams, leadership pipelines, budgets, vendors, and enterprise delivery commitments.
• Experience leading large-scale platforms, modernization programs, and AI-enabled engineering practices with measurable business impact.
• Experience with capital markets, post-trade processing, clearing, settlement, custody, securities processing, or client-facing financial technology platforms.
• Strong knowledge of modern platform architecture, full-stack development, APIs, integration, DevOps, data, responsible AI, and post-trade capabilities.
• Executive leadership, communication, governance, risk management, regulatory awareness, and talent development skills.
