Software Engineering Manager, SVP - Finance and Operations Technology (Fintech)

Location: Miami, United States

Expected annual base salary: $176,250–$250,000, with additional bonuses and potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead engineering strategy, architecture, delivery, scalability, reliability, and operational performance for Finance and Operations Technology platforms.
• Design and deliver finance oversight and process automation systems supporting accounting, fund operations, reporting, and regulatory workflows.
• Partner with Finance, Treasury, Operations, Data Engineering, Information Security, Risk, and technology stakeholders on requirements, priorities, and roadmaps.
• Manage and mentor engineers while remaining hands-on in solution design, architecture reviews, delivery planning, and complex problem solving.
• Modernize platforms using cloud technologies, microservices, APIs, workflow orchestration, and distributed systems.
• Improve monitoring, incident management, performance, capacity planning, production operations, and disaster recovery readiness.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in software engineering, enterprise platforms, or financial systems technology, including significant engineering leadership experience.
• Experience leading enterprise-grade finance, accounting, treasury, or fund operations technology platforms.
• Strong hands-on background in application architecture, distributed systems, APIs, cloud-native development, and platform engineering.
• Experience with general ledger platforms, ETL frameworks, data warehouses, financial reporting systems, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, observability, DevSecOps, and production operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field; an advanced degree is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience in private equity, asset management, alternative investments, or financial services.
• Knowledge of fund accounting, treasury operations, financial controls, and regulatory reporting.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, SAP, Oracle Financials, Workday Financials, or proprietary ledger systems.
• Experience leading globally distributed engineering organizations and large-scale technology transformation programs.
