Staff Data Scientist, Data Products

Location: Remote home office in the United States. Fully remote model; compensation is geo-neutral within the US.

Salary: $180,000–$205,000 per year

What you will do

• Own measurement strategies for core product workflows, including offer endorsement, approval, and acceptance.
• Design and validate event instrumentation, conduct product usage analyses, and build production-grade dashboards and self-serve reporting.
• Develop analytical products using aggregated and anonymized first-party data alongside compensation market, job-posting, skills, and workforce data.
• Build diagnostics for compensation governance, job architecture, policy-versus-practice gaps, strategic alignment, and overpayment risk.
• Lead initiatives from discovery and hypothesis formation through analytical validation, productionization, commercialization, and launch.
• Set standards for analytical quality, documentation, interpretability, data quality, privacy, and responsible data use while influencing cross-functional product decisions.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States and able to work remotely from a US home office.
• 8+ years of experience in product analytics, data science, analytics engineering, or a related field supporting software products or analytical products.
• Deep SQL proficiency and strong working proficiency with Python, R, or a comparable analytical language.
• Advanced knowledge of statistical measurement, benchmarking, experimentation, data modeling, segmentation, data quality assessment, and analytical validation.
• Experience designing event schemas, product measurement strategies, funnels, dashboards, and self-serve reporting with tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, Looker, or Tableau.
• Ability to lead ambiguous cross-functional initiatives, influence senior stakeholders, and communicate complex methodologies clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience evaluating GenAI-native products or model-assisted workflows.
• Background in compensation, pay equity, workforce planning, labor-market data, job architecture, skills taxonomies, or people analytics.
• Experience with privacy-preserving analytics, compensation surveys, third-party data licensing, or data governance.
• Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, natural-language interfaces, automated insights, semantic layers, and agentic workflows.
