About the Role

You will provide strategic legal advice to commercial stakeholders and negotiate complex, multi-jurisdictional agreements for payment, data, and financial-services products. You will advise on contract interpretation and early customer disputes, address legal and operational risks, automate contracting processes, and train commercial colleagues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of legal experience in-house or at a law firm
• Commercial contracting or transactional experience
• Ability to collaborate with legal counsel across US, LATAM, EMEA, and APAC jurisdictions
• Experience training others on complex legal concepts
• Ability to prioritize work and complete processes in a high-volume environment
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Availability to work from the New York office

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice across commercial functions
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex multi-jurisdictional commercial agreements
• Identify legal and operational risks and recommend risk-based decisions
• Advise on contract interpretation and early-stage customer disputes
• Drive legal automation to improve contracting efficiency
• Train commercial colleagues on agreements
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Travel to other offices periodically
