General Counsel (SaaS)

Salary: $160,000–$170,000 per year

What you will do

• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on customer, commercial, vendor, supplier, partner, and confidentiality agreements.
• Partner with Sales and business leaders to facilitate transactions while managing contractual and legal risk.
• Advise on indemnification, liability, warranties, intellectual property, privacy, data security, insurance, termination, and related provisions.
• Develop contract templates, standard terms, negotiation guidelines, approval processes, and fallback positions.
• Support employment-related matters with Human Resources, including employment agreements, restrictive covenants, separations, employee relations, and compliance.
• Select and manage outside counsel, legal budgets, invoices, timelines, and deliverables.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia and eligibility to practice law in Georgia courts.
• Five or more years of relevant legal experience, including meaningful law firm experience.
• Strong contract law expertise and experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Experience advising software, SaaS, technology, or technology-enabled companies.
• Strong legal research, analytical, drafting, negotiation, communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of software licensing, technology agreements, intellectual property, data privacy, and information security.
• Working knowledge of employment law and experience advising on HR-related legal matters.
