Senior Electrical Design Engineer (PCBA, Analog/Digital Circuit Design)

Location: Milpitas, California, United States; onsite role. Occasional travel up to 10% is required.

Salary: $141,300–$207,233 annually.

What you will do

• Gather project requirements and conduct conceptual feasibility studies.
• Plan projects, including cost and scheduling, and evaluate technical tradeoffs.
• Design analog and digital PCBs using CAD tools.
• Perform circuit, noise, timing, thermal, cooling, electrical-load, and FPGA analyses.
• Define interfaces with critical subsystems and plan and execute design validation, firmware, and system integration.
• Collaborate with mechanical, optical, software, systems, and manufacturing engineering teams through subsystem and system qualification.

Requirements

• Doctorate with 3 years of related experience, master's degree with 6 years, or bachelor's degree with 8 years.
• Experience with low-noise linear analog circuitry and analog component characteristics.
• Experience with high-speed digital design, data acquisition, and signal integrity.
• Knowledge of CCD sensors, image acquisition, and advanced FPGA devices and coding techniques.
• Proficiency with advanced electronics laboratory equipment and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Milpitas, California.

Nice to have

• Experience with OrCAD, PSpice, or LTSim.
• Experience supporting renewable energy and electrification initiatives, including solar, battery storage, EV charging, or utility coordination.
