Senior Electrical Design Engineer (FPGA/DSP)

Location: Farmingdale, NY, United States; onsite role

Salary: $122,655–$215,704 per year, with a possible annual or quarterly bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the research, development, design, integration, and testing of hardware and firmware components, equipment, and systems.
• Generate hardware and firmware requirements, top-level and detailed designs, interface documentation, test plans, and test procedures.
• Implement high-speed digital signal processing functions in FPGAs, including digital filters and FFTs.
• Support hardware/software integration, design validation, acceptance testing, field testing, and customer-witnessed testing.
• Debug complex hardware at board and box level and verify firmware against system models.
• Mentor junior electrical engineers and present technical work at internal and customer design reviews.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• Experience with high-speed firmware design at 300 MHz, digital filters, FFT, and preferably radar signal processing.
• Experience with DO-254 DAL A or DAL C, high-speed board design, Xilinx RFSoC and MPSoC, DDR5 memory, and point-of-load power distribution.
• Experience using MATLAB modeling and Xilinx Simulink for firmware design.
• Ability to debug complex hardware and firmware and perform board- and system-level integration testing.
• Must have a background that would permit the US Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance when required; ITAR-controlled technical data is restricted to US Citizens and US Permanent Residents.
