Lead Security Engineer - Incident Response - Cloud Security

Targeted base pay range: $136,500–$214,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead defensive security operations and own the full incident lifecycle from detection and triage through containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident review.
• Design and facilitate incident response tabletop exercises with security, IT, engineering, legal, and business stakeholders.
• Build and maintain incident response plans, playbooks, and runbooks for consistent and repeatable response.
• Partner with threat intelligence, SOC, and engineering teams to improve detection capabilities and security controls.
• Support digital forensics investigations and lead incident response activities in cloud environments using SIEM, CSPM, and other cloud security tools.
• Contribute an incident response perspective to cloud and AI security programs and apply AI and automation to response workflows and exercises.

Requirements

• Extensive experience designing and facilitating incident response tabletop exercises or similar simulations.
• Enterprise incident response experience across the full lifecycle, with strong communication, facilitation, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
• Working knowledge of forensics tools including Magnet Axiom, Velociraptor, Volatility, FTK, or Autopsy.
• Experience with AWS cloud security fundamentals and understanding of cloud security and AI security concepts.
• At least one relevant certification, such as GCIH, GCFA, GCFE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or CISSP.
