Security Engineer, Incident Response (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid role based at the New York City headquarters, United States

Base salary: $112,300–$151,500 USD per year, plus equity and other benefits.

What you will do

• Research threat intelligence, vulnerabilities, threat actors, indicators of compromise, tactics, techniques, and procedures.
• Conduct threat hunting and identify anomalous or malicious activity across the enterprise.
• Build and improve security detections, response workflows, incident playbooks, and runbooks.
• Support incident response triage and investigations with Security Engineering, the Security Operations Center, and internal teams.
• Develop AI-powered triage pipelines, LLM-assisted investigations, and end-to-end SOC automation.
• Design and maintain in-house security tooling, translating threat intelligence and incident learnings into actionable controls.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in information security.
• Required experience in incident response or threat detection.
• Strong knowledge of incident response principles and processes, alert triage, and incident handling automation.
• Expert experience with SIEM tools or data lakes and experience with attacker techniques or EDR tooling.
• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or Kubernetes, SaaS platforms, or IAM.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, plus experience using AI coding tools to develop security solutions.

Nice to have

• GCIH, GCFE, GCIA, GCFA, or AWS Security Specialty certification.
• Experience building security automations and homegrown security tools.
