Security and Threat Operations Engineer (AI)

Location: United States (Remote)

What you will do

• Build and tune detections, alerts, and monitoring workflows across cloud, application, identity, and edge environments.
• Analyze API, authentication, WAF, infrastructure, and production telemetry to identify malicious activity, fraud, account abuse, and anomalous behavior.
• Investigate security events end to end, supporting triage, scoping, containment, remediation, threat hunting, and detection improvement.
• Develop Python tooling and automation for investigation, enrichment, response, and operational scaling.
• Operate and improve vulnerability management workflows using Wiz and related scanning platforms.
• Partner with Product Security, Platform Security, and Engineering to turn threat models and product risks into detections and response playbooks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in information security, threat detection, security operations, detection engineering, or incident response.
• Strong experience investigating web, API, authentication, and infrastructure telemetry and recognizing attacker behavior.
• Strong Python programming skills for security automation, analysis, and operational tooling.
• Experience with SIEM or detection platforms, logging and observability systems such as CloudWatch or Datadog, and at least one major cloud provider, preferably AWS.
• Experience supporting vulnerability management, including triage, prioritization, remediation tracking, and stakeholder coordination.
• Knowledge of identity and access systems, threat modeling, practical security controls, AI-related security risks, and PCI and SOC 2 expectations.

Nice to have

• Experience in a cloud-native or product-focused environment.
• Familiarity with Wiz CNAPP, runtime, code, and vulnerability scanning use cases.
• Experience with modern software engineering practices and AI-assisted development.
