Building Department Lead

Location: Fontana, California, USA; onsite production-floor role

Salary: $21.68–$29.81 USD per hour

What you will do

• Lead and oversee assigned manufacturing employees and delegate work based on skills and experience.
• Coordinate work assignments, support employee training and orientation, and address minor discipline issues.
• Assist team members with technical issues and advanced assignment problems.
• Inspect completed work and perform assemblies and sub-assemblies for manufacturing projects.
• Track labor time, materials, and other resources for inventory purposes.
• Partner with the supervisor or production manager to resolve departmental issues and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least four years of experience in manufacturing, electrical wiring, or a related field.
• Previous experience leading a team of employees.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, equipment maintenance, and safety management.
• Ability to read and follow written directions, blueprints, and engineering diagrams, with basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, perform repetitive tasks, lift or move up to 35 pounds, and wear required PPE on the production floor.
