Building Engineer II (HVAC and Building Automation)

Location: 100% in-office in Tampa, Florida, United States; remote work is not available.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, operate, and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other critical building systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, equipment documentation, and deficiency reporting.
• Manage service contractors during routine and emergency repairs.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to urgent tenant requests, severe weather, and system outages.
• Collaborate with tenants, contractors, property managers, and senior engineers to support reliable building operations.
• Provide guidance to junior technicians and develop advanced proficiency with building automation systems.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of job-related experience or equivalent certification or trade experience.
• Engineering and trade licenses required under applicable local, state, or national regulations.
• Advanced HVAC and building automation systems proficiency; familiarity with fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, work order systems, email, and training applications.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physically demanding work.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
