Company

Develops and manufactures advanced battery materials designed to increase lithium-ion battery energy density and support electric vehicle adoption.

What you will do

  • Commission manufacturing plants producing next-generation battery materials.
  • Own process engineering for critical production units and collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, and external vendors.
  • Drive process design and control scheme modifications for a first-of-a-kind industrial plant during startup.
  • Develop HMBs, P&IDs, operating procedures, and other FEED deliverables for next-generation plants.
  • Lead process improvements and technical solutions from R&D, material development, and pilot testing through commercial-scale implementation.
  • Balance daily production priorities with long-term production line improvements and technical deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience owning a high-volume production line or working in plant design-to-commissioning roles.
  • Experience with bulk solids, chemical manufacturing, specialty materials, food manufacturing, or comparable industrial processes.
  • Knowledge of basic control schemes, advanced control strategies, process optimization, and production constraints.
  • Experience with risk management, management of change, HAZOP, PFDs, P&IDs, and operating procedures.
  • Ability to work onsite, walk on uneven ground, climb stairs, wear required PPE and respiratory protection, and travel to production sites and third-party design offices.

Nice to have

  • Expert-level competency in a chemical technology.
  • Experience with plant startups, new grade trials, turnarounds, or first-of-a-kind manufacturing technologies.
  • Experience collaborating with R&D, technology, manufacturing engineering, operations, and maintenance teams.

Culture & Benefits

  • Collaborative, action-oriented environment with strong ownership of technical outcomes.
  • Inclusive workplace focused on diverse perspectives and equal opportunity.
  • Total Rewards package that may include benefits, perks, and equity in addition to base pay.
  • Opportunities to work on next-generation battery technology and industrial-scale clean-energy manufacturing.
