Vice President, Gene Editing Core (Genomics)

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States

Base salary: $327,100–$399,900 USD per year, plus performance-based annual cash bonus and equity compensation.

What you will do

• Create and lead the genomics innovation strategy supporting gene-editing therapies.
• Lead cross-functional development of novel nucleases, insertion strategies, delivery approaches, and assays for unintended genomic changes.
• Oversee NGS production, AMP-seq, off-target discovery and confirmation, and structural variant analysis.
• Develop and lead genomics and RNA laboratories, including gene-editing analysis platforms and production of sgRNA and mRNA.
• Partner with computational biology, software engineering, automation, clinical, regulatory, and product development teams.
• Manage the Genomics Core budget, resources, external collaborations, compliance, and delivery of services across company projects.

Requirements

• PhD or equivalent in molecular biology, biochemistry, genomics, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of related professional experience with a PhD, or at least 10 years with a master's or bachelor's degree.
• 7+ years of direct people-management experience.
• Extensive genomics experience, including sequencing technologies, genomic data analysis, NGS, ddPCR, single-cell genomics, and spatial transcriptomics.
• Experience designing experiments, analyzing data, interpreting results, and leading laboratory operations.
• Knowledge of genomic research regulations, data management standards, preclinical and clinical research, and bioinformatics.
