Commercial Lines Senior Account Manager, Select

Location: Hybrid role based in Wilmington, DE; Hunt Valley, MD; Blue Bell or Pittsburgh, PA; Falls Church, Glen Allen, or Norfolk, VA; or Charleston, Huntington, Morgantown, or Wheeling, WV. Occasional in-person client visits are required.

Salary: $85,000–$90,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage relationships and service activities for commercial lines clients with $5,000 or more in revenue.
• Develop competitive insurance programs, analyze coverage options, prepare proposals, and present recommendations.
• Manage renewals, negotiate new and renewal coverage with carriers, and prevent lapses in coverage.
• Explain policy changes, exclusions, coverages, and industry trends to clients.
• Support claims reporting, invoicing, collections, cancellations, and account administration.
• Educate and mentor Select Commercial Lines teammates while maintaining at least 92% retention on the assigned book of business.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a commercial property and casualty insurance agency.
• Active Property and Casualty insurance license required.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and accurately in a fast-paced team environment.
• Comfort with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office.
• College degree preferred; industry designation or willingness to complete industry courses is expected.
