Salary: $70,400–$105,000 annually

What you will do

• Create packaging and point-of-purchase display designs for new and existing products.
• Translate customer needs into drawings, designs, prototypes, samples, and production-ready solutions.
• Recommend materials and production methods within plant capabilities.
• Perform packaging and component testing and communicate findings to sales, manufacturing, and customers.
• Coordinate graphics, prototypes, samples, vendor negotiations, die design, material availability, and troubleshooting.
• Support sales and customer service with layouts, estimates, artwork, printing dies, and initial production setups; train and guide junior designers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s-equivalent education in graphic design, structural design, art, engineering, packaging, or a related field.
• At least four years of experience creating and designing packaging and point-of-purchase displays.
• Strong knowledge of production methods, printing methods, materials, design forms, and retail packaging usage.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and computer-aided design software.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in the corrugated industry.
• Technical understanding of corrugated packaging design, cutting dies, converting machinery, and printing.
