Sr Design Engineer (Medical Devices)

Location: Eagan, Minnesota, United States; onsite at CORP - Eagan, MN ADC. The role requires up to 10% domestic and international business travel.

Salary: $101,000–$152,000 annual, plus bonus and/or incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Research, design, prototype, and evaluate new products and technologies.
• Create CAD models, technical drawings, product specifications, PCB layouts, or software architectures.
• Lead multidisciplinary product development teams and ensure designs meet requirements.
• Support design transfer to manufacturing, validate designs with domestic and international manufacturers, and troubleshoot implementation issues.
• Incorporate customer feedback, human factors, user-centered design, risk analysis, complaints, and cost-saving opportunities into product improvements.
• Manage project timelines, identify product development opportunities, and support intellectual property creation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, biomedical, electrical, or software engineering.
• At least 4 years of product design experience.
• Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D modeling software and prototype fabrication.
• Ability to lead product development assignments and manage multiple project timelines.
• Ability to work onsite in Eagan, Minnesota, United States and travel up to 10% for domestic and international business purposes.

Nice to have

• Certified SolidWorks Professional certification.
• Medical device product design experience, including Class I–II requirements, design controls, and risk assessment.
• Experience designing and launching Class II medical devices.
• Project management and Microsoft Project experience.
• Knowledge of injection molding and other manufacturing processes, or recognition through at least one patent.
