What you will do

• Lead color, material, and finish concept development and strategy across multiple consumer product categories.
• Forecast trends and translate color, material, and finish research into actionable design direction.
• Create mood boards, color palettes, material samples, and presentations for senior stakeholders and leadership.
• Lead supplier and manufacturer relationships, material sourcing, feasibility evaluation, and cost-effective finish development.
• Own CMF specifications, documentation, design reviews, prototypes, and sample validation through production sign-off.
• Mentor junior and associate CMF designers and maintain the CMF materials library and archive.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in color, material, and finish design; consumer electronics or consumer products experience is preferred.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, KeyShot, and SolidWorks.
• Deep expertise in color theory, trend forecasting, and manufacturing processes across product categories.
• Experience leading CMF strategy independently from early concept through production and mentoring junior designers.
• Strong strategic, analytical, communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Interaction Design, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience; a strong portfolio is required.
