Manufacturing Engineering Manager (Robotics)

Base salary: $100,000–$300,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Deliver electromechanical robotics units against schedule by managing part availability, floor priorities, and build-stall escalations.
• Lead and develop assembly technicians and manufacturing engineers, establishing quality standards and development paths.
• Reduce build hours through process design, fixturing, improved assembly methods, and controlled documentation.
• Transition new hardware platforms from engineering release to repeatable production through pilot builds and manufacturability feedback.
• Establish the processes and fixtures required for each new platform.
• Maintain work instructions, BOM data, MBOM accuracy, and production-data integrations as designs change.

Requirements

• 7+ years of manufacturing or NPI engineering experience with complex electromechanical hardware, including low-volume, high-complexity production.
• Direct experience transitioning products from prototype into repeatable production.
• Experience leading technicians and engineers, formally or as a lead.
• Fluency with PLM and BOM systems, including maintaining accurate BOM data through design changes.
• Hands-on experience with fixture design, assembly-method development, tooling selection, and work instructions under revision control.
• Ability to work closely with mechanical and electrical engineers and advocate for manufacturability.

Nice to have

• Scripting for manufacturing data using Python, Apps Script, or REST integrations.
• Wire harness fabrication and cable assembly experience.
• Exposure to MES, serialization, or traceability systems.
• Experience establishing manufacturing processes at a company producing a hardware platform for the first time.
