Manufacturing Engineering Intern (Aerospace)

Location: Middle River, Maryland, United States; full-time, on-site for at least 12 consecutive weeks beginning January, February, or March 2027

Salary: $25.00 USD per hour. A relocation stipend may be available.

What you will do

• Support the Manufacturing Team in manufacturing stages for Neutron.
• Apply engineering and industry concepts to solve real manufacturing challenges.
• Work closely with a mentor and department employees to develop technical and professional skills.
• Lead development projects with increasing independence and provide progress updates through regular meetings.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in engineering, physics, or mathematics, with at least one semester remaining after the internship.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• At least 3 months of applied engineering experience through an internship, laboratory work, or personal/team projects.
• Available to work full-time on-site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning January, February, or March 2027.
• For U.S. offices, must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, lawfully admitted refugee or asylee, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. government authorizations under ITAR.

Nice to have

• GPA of 3.5 or above and at least 6 months of applied engineering experience.
• Fabrication, CAD/CAM, 3D printing, robotics, or industrial process experience.
• Exposure to composite materials.
