Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting

Location: Lexington, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid work with at least two office days per week

Base salary: $132,000–$198,000 per year, plus benefits and potential incentive plans

What you will do

• Own global technical revenue accounting and serve as the subject matter expert on ASC 606 across products, regions, and complex pricing models.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close activities, internal controls, variance analysis, and external audit coordination.
• Drive the revenue accounting transformation roadmap through automation, AI-enabled workflows, and measurable improvements in close speed and accuracy.
• Serve as the revenue accounting subject matter expert for NetSuite, Advanced Revenue Management, Salesforce, order-to-cash architecture, and revenue data models.
• Partner with Sales Operations, Deal Desk, Legal, FP&A, Product, IT, and other functions on contracts, pricing, new products, training, and executive reporting.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 1–2 people while establishing governance for AI use in accounting.

Requirements

• CPA and a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience, including at least 2 years leading and developing people.
• Deep practical knowledge of ASC 606 in a SaaS or subscription environment.
• Experience in a public company or large private-equity-backed organization with strong internal controls and a SOX mindset.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite and Salesforce, advanced Excel skills, and strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools in accounting or finance workflows, with the ability to apply human review, controls, and evidence requirements.

Nice to have

• Big Four or large public accounting experience.
• Experience in cybersecurity, high-growth technology, complex SaaS, or consumption-based pricing.
• Multi-entity, multi-currency close experience and M&A diligence or integration exposure.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, or Tableau.
