Wet Utilities Designer (BIM - Civil 3D) - Group (Civil 3D)

What you will do

• Develop detailed Civil 3D models for storm drainage, sanitary sewers, water distribution, culverts, tanks, catch basins, roadways, grading, surfaces, pavements, alignments, profiles, assemblies, and corridors.
• Manage data shortcuts and drawing references across multi-user environments using Autodesk Construction Cloud and Autodesk Desktop Connector.
• Coordinate existing, staged, and proposed utility, roadway, grading, and drainage designs with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Produce plan, profile, cross-section, and sheet files for design, construction, and regulatory submissions.
• Perform clash detection and coordination reviews across utilities, drainage, grading, pavements, foundations, and electrical duct banks.
• Maintain model integrity through design revisions, construction phasing, and as-built turnover while improving BIM workflows and automation.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Geomatics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of civil modeling experience, including at least 3 years using Civil 3D.
• Mandatory proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Desktop Connector, and Bluebeam Revu.
• Experience with underground utilities, stormwater management, pressure and gravity-fed networks, roadways, pavements, and coordinated BIM/CAD environments.
• Knowledge of Ontario and Canadian civil, road, utility, Transport Canada, ICAO, OPSD, and related standards.
• Strong coordination, documentation, version control, communication, and prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Dynamo for Civil 3D, InfraWorks, Navisworks Manage, Python scripting, Bentley InRoads/OpenRoads, or Autodesk Inventor.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, detention systems, flood control compliance, and surface drainage.
