Product Counsel (AI/Blockchain)

Location: San Francisco, California; in-person

Salary: $248,000–$300,000 per year, plus a long-term incentive package

What you will do

• Advise product, engineering, hardware, cryptography, design, and security teams throughout product development and launch.
• Provide legal and regulatory guidance on digital identity, biometrics, agentic AI, blockchain, consumer financial technology, privacy, online safety, and platform governance.
• Assess legal, regulatory, reputational, trust, safety, security, and user risks for new products, features, experiments, and business models.
• Support global product launches across evolving and multi-jurisdictional regulatory environments.
• Draft product terms, disclosures, policies, user flows, and internal guidance materials.
• Build scalable legal processes, playbooks, templates, review frameworks, and self-service resources for product teams.

Requirements

• 2+ years of legal experience, preferably supporting consumer technology, financial technology, blockchain, digital identity, or other highly regulated technologies.
• Experience advising across the full product lifecycle, including development, feature launches, user experience, go-to-market initiatives, and operational support.
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks covering areas such as financial services, blockchain, digital identity, artificial intelligence, privacy, biometrics, consumer protection, online safety, advertising, marketing, or platform governance.
• Ability to understand complex technical systems, architectures, and product tradeoffs while balancing legal risk, user experience, operational realities, and product velocity.
• Juris Doctor from a top-tier law school and membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• Ability to work in person from San Francisco, California.
