Counselor (Behavioral Health)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, USA; fully on-site

Salary: $22.00+ per hour plus a bonus structure

What you will do

• Conduct individual alcohol and drug abuse counseling, group sessions, intake, readmission, and supportive follow-up services.
• Assess patients' social, educational, economic, and vocational needs and develop and revise treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention, referrals, follow-up care, and coordination with community providers.
• Orient patients to treatment operations and support their transition to a drug-free life.
• Maintain comprehensive records, inter-agency documentation, schedules, and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in OBOT services, staff training, conferences, meetings, and community activities.

Requirements

• Master's degree in a related Human Services field.
• Knowledge of human behavior, substance abuse populations, treatment planning, and human social services.
• Ability to make sound decisions quickly and handle confidential, sensitive, and stressful situations.
• Ability to work within applicable federal and state certification, licensure, degree, and regulatory requirements.
• Schedule: 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, fully on-site.
