Counselor - Part Time

Location: On-site in Mobile, Alabama, USA

Salary: $22.00–$25.00 per hour plus bonus structure

What you will do

• Conduct individual alcohol and drug abuse counseling and group sessions.
• Complete patient intakes, readmissions, assessments, treatment plans, records, and follow-up counseling.
• Provide crisis intervention, referrals, and care coordination with community providers.
• Orient patients to treatment operations and support their adjustment to a drug-free life.
• Deliver OBOT services, participate in training, and support program and caseload management.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and accrediting agency requirements.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a related Human Services field.
• Knowledge of substance use disorders, treatment planning, human behavior, and social services.
• Ability to make effective decisions and handle confidential or sensitive situations.
• Ability to respond quickly to stressful situations and seek supervisory guidance when needed.
• Compliance with applicable certification, licensure, degree, and regulatory requirements.
• Behavioral health experience is preferred but not required.
