Communications Director

Location: Hybrid role based in San Jose, California, United States. Candidates must be based in the South Bay Area and present in the San Jose office at least two days per week.

Salary: $185,000–$215,000 per year, plus comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and manage the communications calendar, aligning messaging with business priorities, product launches, executive transitions, reorganizations, and office openings.
• Partner with the CEO and other executives on internal messaging, announcements, thought leadership, and communications in the CEO’s authentic voice.
• Draft and distribute communications through intranet, email, Slack, video, and executive social channels.
• Own the strategy, content, technical logistics, speaker management, and production of global virtual All Hands meetings.
• Select and manage PR agencies and freelancers, coordinate narratives, prepare spokespeople, and draft press releases.
• Support industry analyst relations during major trade shows and the annual Analyst Summit.

Requirements

• 10+ years of corporate communications experience in a global context, preferably in a high-growth technology company.
• Experience supporting C-level executives, especially CEOs, and drafting communications in an executive’s unique voice.
• Expertise in virtual event production, including content strategy, technical execution, and speaker management for global All Hands meetings.
• Experience hiring and managing PR agencies across regional markets.
• Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, organizational, and logistical skills, including the ability to explain complex business and technical topics clearly.
• Experience working with distributed global teams, corporate financial events, and generative AI for communications ideation and drafting.
