Senior Product Communications Manager (AI)

Location: Must be based in San Francisco, CA (Hybrid: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday in-office)

Salary: $152,000–$209,000/year

What you will do

• Own external product storytelling for the Agent Stack, Core Platform, and tools like v0 and Vercel Agent.
• Oversee communications for the open-source portfolio, including Next.js, Turbopack, and Svelte.
• Develop thought leadership narratives that position Vercel within the broader infrastructure landscape.
• Partner with Content Engineering to create engaging social and owned content for developer audiences.
• Build public profiles for engineering leadership and elevate stories of open-source maintainers.
• Collaborate with DX Engineering on community programming and conference activations.

Requirements

• 6-8 years of experience in communications, PR, or product marketing within developer tools or infrastructure.
• Strong storytelling skills with the ability to translate technical work for developer audiences.
• Experience managing multi-channel, cross-functional programs.
• Must be located in San Francisco and able to work from the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.
• Fluency in open-source culture and experience contributing to or participating in open-source communities.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the frontend/JavaScript ecosystem (Next.js, frameworks, runtimes).
• Proficiency with using agents in your professional workflow.
