Freight and Logistics Specialist

Location: On-site in Torrance, California, United States

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonus/incentive pay

What you will do

• Analyze domestic and international shipments across multiple transportation modes and resolve operational issues.
• Evaluate freight spend, carrier performance, and network efficiency to identify cost and service improvements.
• Drive logistics process and systems improvements using lean and hirify.global Business System methodologies.
• Embed trade compliance into logistics processes and ensure adherence to customs requirements and company policies.
• Collaborate on carrier sourcing, contract negotiations, performance reporting, and strategic logistics initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• Several years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain analytics, or a related area.
• Advanced data analysis skills with strong proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate insights, present information, and engage stakeholders independently.
• Ability to plan and coordinate cross-functional work, solve problems, and deliver measurable results.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and transportation management systems.
• Previous project management experience.
